Get Up Kids Reunite This Weekend
In their first live performance since 2005, the Get Up Kids are randomly (seemingly) playing a one-off gig in Kansas City on Sunday: Sunday, Nov. 16 Record Bar 1020 Westport Road 18-and-over $10 Rumors began swirling about the reunion after former member, James Dewees, (Reggie and The Full Effect) apparently began dropping hints about reuniting with a band form the "late 90's/early 00's." The Get Up Kids also made available on their website a brand new t-shirt, which simply reads: Be Prepared. (above: "Be Prepared." Huh, it wasn't just a catchy t-shirt slogan after all.) For now, the Get Up Kids are just scheduled to play Sunday night in their hometown of Kansas City. Although, if it all goes well, don't be surprised to see a full-blown reunion tour. You think the $10 gig's gonna sell out this Sunday?...
