Luke and Owen Wilson have risen from earlier collaborations with Wes Anderson to mainstream stardom, but have also retained distinct on-screen personas that have informed both their larger and their indie roles. This week on the IFC News podcast, we look at the career of the two more famous Wilsons (sorry, Andrew), the roles they've tended to take or be offered, their attempts to break out of those roles and their brightest on-screen moments.

What a terrible podcast. Maybe I could have guessed that this was not an interview with the Wilsons but either way, it couldn't have been any less boring and pointless. You guys get paid to do this for a living? Wow...

and why? I don't get it. I feel sad now.

That's all I got.

Peace

I love that we see the Wilson brothers in tons of mainstream stuff, but I also think its great that they do indie films as well.

I think this was a great subject for a podcast but I was somewhat underwhelmed by the execution. Ms. Willmore seems unprepared at times, having not seen (or in one case heard of) some of the movies mentioned and mixing up years of release. Perhaps having printed out IMDB credits on hand would be helpful for the future.

Also, I thought there should have been some consideration of Luke Wilson’s performance in The Family Stone. It would have been an interesting performance to consider as it adheres to some of his standard, chick-flick charmer stereotype but at the same time he serves as the film's comic relief; the wild and crazy persona.
