The focus country for this year's Asian Hot Shots Berlin, running January 13 through 18, will be Indonesia.
"The power of the 'prestige' film and the art of the deal are a lasting legacy of Lon Chaney's monumental Universal Pictures blockbuster, 'The Hunchback of Notre Dame,'" writes David Jeffers at the Siffblog. Tonight at the Paramount Theater in Seattle. Also: A look back at the night of the film's Seattle premiere in 1923.
"Some films are the result of a director gone mad and such is the case with 'Playtime,'" writes Chris Gisonny at the House Next Door.
