It's my great, great pleasure to announce that Greencine Daily's David Hudson will be joining us here at IFC.com starting January 1st. He'll continue blogging just as he has been the past five years, inexhaustibly collecting and linking to everything worth knowing in the world of film news. I've long admired David, whose blog has been an essential source for anyone who loves film, and I'm thrilled to have him here at the site. I'll be continuing in what's become, lately, more of an editor role -- we'll be expanding and building on our regular film-related editorial content in the... MORE »

Filed under: From the Editor, WatchyA bit of network news: "Wilfred," IFC.com's new web series, kicks off today, with a new episode going up every weekday the first episode is here, the second here. A cult TV show from Australia, the series began as a short film that won the best comedy award at Tropfest in 2002, possibly due to its killer thematic combination of pot-smoking pets and guys in animal costumes. The shiny new third season of Joe Swanberg's "Young American Bodies" will also be premiering on IFC.com starting next week here's a promo. [Photo: "Wilfred," IFC, 2007] + Wilfred (IFC)... MORE »

By Alison Willmore on 02/20/2008
Filed under: From the EditorThis is now the third incarnation and (at least) the third year in the webbish life of this film blog, so it seems as good a moment as any to stop and say hello again. Hello! This blog was originally started to accompany the IFC News site, and both have since grown up while staying unhealthily close in the manner of any Todd Solondz film. It's how I've preferred it, though now that it's in fancy new digs, News seems ready to stand on its own and allow this blog to roam a little freer and looser, or at least... MORE »
