It's my great, great pleasure to announce that Greencine Daily's David Hudson will be joining us here at IFC.com starting January 1st. He'll continue blogging just as he has been the past five years, inexhaustibly collecting and linking to everything worth knowing in the world of film news.
I've long admired David, whose blog has been an essential source for anyone who loves film, and I'm thrilled to have him here at the site. I'll be continuing in what's become, lately, more of an editor role -- we'll be expanding and building on our regular film-related editorial content in the new year -- though this blog will live on, home to my festival coverage, film reviews and sporadic, unasked-for musings on news and so forth.
David's new blog will be called, simply, The Daily -- the URL is IFC.com/thedaily, and again, he'll be starting in January. And here's an announcement from Greencine's side:
At GreenCine.com's GreenCine Daily blog, the long tradition of cutting a wide swath through the world of film will continue in the very capable hands of Aaron Hillis, Brooklyn-based writer, filmmaker and film critic whose work has been published in the pages of the Village Voice, LA Weekly, Variety, Spin, MovieMaker and Premiere, and online at IFC.com, GreenCine Daily and The Reeler. Hillis will have GreenCine Daily also branching off in new and exciting directions.
Obviously, we're fans of Aaron Hillis as well, and he'll continue to do interviews for us here on the site -- we wish him the best of luck at the new gig.
