Like painted kites, those days and nights - went flyin' by.

In line with our generally bloggish flakiness the past weeks, we're going to be absent for a few days (in California to see the folks). In the meantime, here are the IFC News team's summer picks.
[Incidentally, until we saw it on the Onion AV Club's very funny summer movie preview, we hadn't realized that "The Lake House" was that "Il Mare" remake we'd seen floating around for ages. Finally, we've moved beyond mediocre remakes of Asian horror flicks to sure-to-be-lukewarm remakes of Asian romances! Bring it on, Gurinder Chadha.]

on may 12 IDC, during credit roll for City of God, IFC covered the bottom third of the screen with a promotional announcement. meanwhile, the movie went on with announcements of the disposition of the movie characters. I DON'T KNOW THIS TRULY ASTOUNDING MOVIE ENDS. IRONIC THEY SPOILED IT WITH ADVERTISING. geesh, is there anything worthwile on tv? I thought I had found it.
i could promise u something that henry rollins is not no free speech activist when i hear that bull shit watch him kick censorship in the but only reffer to independent mainstream films since there is no differents between studio or indie film making u both serve the same fascist whaleshits the police military wealthy big corporations family values and religion rulling class mpaa and fcc that we apoliticals will do away with along withall tradtional values when we get powerful enough to impeach all the republicans and demopublicans u indies are false liberals and your brand of film making isnt liberal
Fair enough. On the other hand, we have managed those tricky basic grammatical skills.
