IS IT ME? OR... (Nope, It's Me)

Is something not right about naming a 3D horror movie--whose commercial features a wall of flames bursting from a movie screen towards it's 3D-glass-wearing audience--after a highly influential indie-rock band?

(left: Alas there is a "3D" to make a distinction between the two.)

CORRECTION: It didn't occur to me until my friend Randy corrected me today that My Bloody Valentine, the highly influential indie-rock band, actually got their name from the 1981 slasher movie, My Bloody Valentine. Turns out My Bloody Valentine 3D is a remake of the original:

Toward the end of 1983, Shields and O'Ciosoig formed their own band with singer Dave Conway. Conway, who went by the stage name Dave Stelfox, suggested names such as "Burning Peacocks" before they settled on "My Bloody Valentine" after a 1981 Canadian slasher film of the same name.

Apologies to the movie franchise that inspired the indie band name.

My bad.

I totally agree. I was ready for a 3D version of their ATP performances. Kind of like U2 did, except noisier, and less pretentious.

Imagine if they gave out earplugs in the theater before the movie began...that would be glorious.
