Illinois' Third Chapter
By Sarah Pesin on 01/13/2009
Filed under: HODGEPODGE, VIDEO BLOGIt seems that Mr. Indie Ear's favorite band to talk about is the Beastie Boys, and if anyone knows him, that makes complete sense. For me, it appears that Illinois are the band to talk about. I believe this is my third post about that quirky foursome. But to be fair, there's always much to be said.
Illinois seem to be closely following the Presidential election with the release of their Kid Catastrophe chapters. Their first release happened to be on the now historic Election Day, and their third chapter is out just in time for Obama to be sworn in. Maybe it's a musical Freudian slip...if that's possible. The funny folks over at People Food are the geniuses (besides Illinois) behind The Adventures of Kid Catastrophe. Chapter three, out now, marks the halfway point for the entire series and can be seen below.
To catch the past chapters and keep up to date with the ones to follow, tag along with Illinois through YouTube. If you're lucky enough to live on the east coast, Illinois have several tour dates to coincide with chapter three's release and plan to hit this year's SXSW.
If you can't make it, there's hope for you yet, as there's a free download of Illinois' "Are You Coming With Me" HERE. Well, that seems to be all for now, until chapter four comes out!
