ME LIKEY: Robert Bobbert & The Bubble Machine

It makes perfectly, perfectly, perfectly good sense that Robert Schneider of The Apples In Stereo has just announced that he will be releasing a children's album early next year on February 17, 2009.
Schneider is among one of the most positive and bubbly people I have ever met in my life. If you close your eyes, and just listen to him talk, you might even think he was a kid.
Schneider, who apparently tested out some of the material on his son Max, will take the persona of inventor/scientist character Robert Bobbert, and his album will be appropriately titled Robert Bobbert & The Bubble Machine.
"Recording music for children is an amazing and fun experience," Schneider explains. "It forces me to be extra creative because you are writing for an extra creative audience. Kids' ears are very tuned in to unusual sounds, so I threw many of my regular instruments out the window in order to come up with a whole new palette of colorful noises and wanted to make super-pop music that kids will like to sing along with."
There will be live shows in select major markets in 2009.
