SPORT: Softball

WHY: If you had to pick one artist from the entire roster of indie music to front your women's softball team, who would you pick? Cat Power? She may not show. Kim Gordon? She may be too old. Meg White? She may not have enough talent. How about The Gossip's Beth Ditto? Ding, ding, ding, ding! This plus-sized inide star has the exuberance, sheer power, and fearlessness (ever see some of her on-stage exploits?) to lead her squad to victory.
