"The IFC Media Project" returns this month to IFC with brand new episodes revealing the truth behind the news. Hosted by Gideon Yago, the series is a look into how the news is covered by mainstream media, from inception to how and when it hits the airwaves. Check it out, Sundays at 11pm beginning May 3rd.
Also in May, IFC presents a brand new Original Documentary, "New World Order." From directors Luke Meyer and Andrew Neel, who brought "Darkon" to the screen, "New World Order" is about the underground world of conspiracy theorists and the anti-globalist movement. The film focuses on Texas-based radio host Alex Jones and some of his peers, who are on a mission to expose what they believe to be a massive conspiracy that threatens the world as we know it. It also looks into the 9/11 attacks and the Bilderberg Conference, a gathering of political and financial elite. "New World Order" premieres Tuesday, May 26th at 6:45pm.
And IFC is getting into the swing of the season with a month-long Spring Fever stunt. Every Thursday beginning at 8pm, tune in for folks who are taking off a lot more than just their winter coats. Check out sexual shenanigans in "Rules of Attraction," Ben Affleck falling in love with a lesbian in "Chasing Amy," and a comedic meditation on the physical and emotional sides of a relationship in "Love & Sex." Also raising the heat: Unrated versions of "Wide Sargasso Sea" (pictured right) and "The Lover," Liam Neeson as a human sexuality expert in "Kinsey," David Lynch's taboo-busting "Blue Velvet" and Madonna taking it all off in "Body of Evidence." Plus, for everything you ever wanted to know about sex in cinema, tune into our original (and ever so highly educational) docs series "Indie Sex."
