In his autopsy on Hillary Clinton's campaign, Joshua Green unearthed a number of e-mails, diaries and meeting notes that are now available to read on The Atlantic's website.
What is revealed is a campaign full of incredibly determined advisers, all with different battle plans and without a unifying credo. Pollster-turned-strategist, Mark Penn is prevalent throughout the documents as a voice for negative, sometimes merciless, campaigning that was not always heeded and eventually dismissed.

The revelation could serve the Republicans well as a guide of what not to do and a reminder of Obama's potential weak spots.

The armistice between Clinton and Obama supporters has become increasingly fragile as efforts to keep her name in contention for the nomination are underway while the Senator herself walks a fine line of supporting her former opponent but also encouraging her supporters to "yell and scream" at the convention. Add to that, former Clinton Communications Director, Howard Wolfson's argument that his candidate would have won had the Edwards affair been revealed sooner and the DNC's plans for a unified party look all the more challenging.
