Once a year, Portland, OR plays host to one of the best comedy festivals in the world. No, not the closing party for Portlandia, but the Bridgetown Comedy Festival. (This year, IFC will be coming on board as a sponsor, which we’re super excited about.)
This festival is coming upon its 7th year and has a reputation for putting together a killer line-up of established voices, cutting edge artists and up-and-coming comedic talent. This year does not disappoint and we’re not just saying that because Reggie Watts (who you can also catch on Season 3 of Comedy Bang! Bang!, which premieres Thurs, May 8 at 10:30pm ET – so watch out for promos during the event!) and Portlandia‘s favorite birthday loan officer/waiter/tour guide, Kumail Nanjiani, is performing.
The lineup for Bridgetown 2014 thus far features close to 200 comics, including:
Paul F. Tompkins, Emo Philips, Nathan Fielder, James Adomian, Lance Bangs, Hari Kondabolu, Sean Cullen,Matt Braunger, Wil Anderson, Jeff Davis, Jonah Ray, Jamie Lee, Nate Bargatze, Julian McCullough, Kristine Levine, Lisa Best, Andres du Bouchet, Matt Kirshen, Christian Duguay, Baron Vaughn, Jon Daly, Adrienne Iapalucci, Adam Newman, Iam Karmel, Myq Kaplan, Brendon Walsh, Ahmed Bharoocha, Levi MacDougall, Shane Mauss, Janine Brito, Aparna Nancherla, Eliza Skinner and Community creator Dan Harmon.
