Everyone loves “Breaking Bad” and this Sunday “The Simpsons” pay homage to AMC’s meth-making drama with an extended couch gag. The show released the clip early, so we can all enjoy watching Marge whip up a batch of 99.1% pure blue. Sure they substitute cupcakes for meth, but the Heisenberg references are there and “Crystal Blue Persuasion” – which was the soundtrack to one of the best drug-cooking scenes in “Breaking Bad” history – plays. Also in on the gag are “Breaking Bad” stars Aaron Paul and Bryan Cranston.
This is the second time that Breaking Bad and “The Simpsons” have teamed up for some digital magic: In 2011 the world was introduced to the viral mashup “Breaking Bart.” Between this clip and the possible Bob Odenkirk spin-off we can’t wait for the new season of “Breaking Bad” to kick off this summer.
