The first “Maron” teaser is here!

Posted by on

Remember back in March when we told you that we are turning comedian Marc Maron’s life and career and relationship and turning it into a television show? Good news: Not only has Maron’s autobiographical single-camera series for IFC wrapped its first ten-episodes, but it also has it’s very first teaser trailer. If you need a reminder, “Maron” centers around a guy who records a podcast from his garage, has comically tense interactions with the guests on his show and navigates his tense relationship with his much-younger girlfriend. Fans of Maron’s hugely successful WTF podcast and his standup comedy will recognize this concept. Trust us, we leave his neurosis intact, because untouched, Maron is uniquely fascinating, absolutely compelling and brutally funny.

Recipients of his WTF podcast recently received a note from Marc about taping the show. “All said, I only freaked out like two and half times and they were minor freak outs. They mostly revolved around shirts I thought were too tight. Not about the fact that we were shooting 9 to 15 pages of script a day and I was in every scene,” Maron wrote in his weekly “WTF” podcast e-mail. That attitude is reflected in the teaser trailer that we are releasing today. Watch it now and stay tuned for more updates about “Maron”:

Freddy Krueger first grabbed America’s attention with the Nightmare On Elm Street films – and later grabbed cash with a TV series, a Nintendo game, a 1-900 number, toys, dolls, a board game and a pinball machine. But despite the corny spin-offs, the Elm Street movies left psychic scars on a generation of horror fans. Before you catch IFC’s Nightmare on Elm Street movie marathon this Halloween, see how well you know the Freddy films.

In Comedy Crib’s new series Does Dave Know We’re Here?, the gang arrives at Dave’s house and texts him to let him know that they’re waiting outside. Weirdly, though, he doesn’t come out to meet them. To kill time in the car until he’s ready, they decide to play a game. That’s when things get crazy.

Technically, they decide to play lots of games and that’s when the show starts to feel like the modern day answer to Waiting for Godot. Will Dave ever come out? You’ll have to watch and find out. Now if you’ll excuse us, we’re going to learn how to play “Father Father Where’s Your Spoon?” for our next road trip.

Gigi Does It Ep6

Get Freaky With Gigi

5 Ways Gigi Can Help You Become a Better Lover

Gigi limbers up for love tonight at 10:30 PT/ET.

Posted by on

Coming down off this weekend’s Pixy Stix sugar high? Well, rather than raid your grandkids’ candy sacks for some stray Charleston Chews, tune in to tonight’s all new Gigi Does It at 10:30P ET/PT for enough sweet sass to send you into a diabetic coma. But before you fire up the ol’ Life Alert, here are five ways to get ready for tonight’s episode that will also improve your moves in the boudoir.

1. Relive your crazy Halloween.

Sure, you’ve already rung in All Hallows’ Eve with some petty vandalism and your best Taylor Swift getup. But it’s never too late to break out the spooky ghoul costume and do like Gigi and put that TP in the trees to good, practical use.

2. Try something new in the bedroom.

Every healthy relationship ought to include some variety in the intimacy department, which is why it’s always smart to brush up on what those wild kids are doing in the bedroom these days. (If you’re confused with any of the terms, consult your male nurse.)

3. Limber up.

Physical therapists advise against sitting or lying down for extended periods of time, so take a moment to stretch out those quads and hammies with Gigi – regardless of how many “good legs” you have.

4. Browse the Web with a friend.

Surfing the ‘net with a pal can be fun. Just watch out for those nasty pop-up ads.

5. Watch the video that is too hot for Facebook.

Deemed “Too Hot for Facebook,” this Gigi clip removes the bleeps and blurs for a raw, NSFW look at the foul-mouthed granny in action.
