It looks like “Kick-Ass 2: Balls to the Wall” is quickly turning into an ensemble superhero movie.
The film will largely be based on the Mark Miller- and John Romita Jr.-created comics “Hit Girl” and “Kick-Ass 2,” the latter of which expands the “Kick-Ass” world greatly by introducing Kick-Ass’s group of superheroes Justice Forever and
Red Mist The Motherf–ker’s evil league of evil called The Toxic Mega-c–ts. Jeff Wadlow has already filled a good number of those roles, and it seems as though actress Lindy Booth is the latest to join the crew in Justice Forever.
She’ll play Night-Bitch, a woman inspired to don a costume and join Kick-Ass after finding her sister’s dead body in a dumpster. She, like the rest of Kick-Ass’s ragtag group, doesn’t actually have any superpowers. Instead, she’s powered by revenge to right the wrongs of the world.
So far “Kick-Ass 2” has some relatively big names lined up for its supporting roles. Donald Faison and Robert Emms play two Justice Forever members: Doctor Gravity and Insect Man, while John Lequizamo plays Red Mist’s body guard and Morris Chestnut plays Hit-Girl’s guardian. Jim Carrey is reportedly wanted for the role of The Colonel, another member of Justice Forever. We’re still patiently waiting to find out who will play Mother Russia.
“Kick-Ass 2” stars Aaron Johnson, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Chloe Moretz and Nicolas Cage. Directed by Jeff Wadlow, it’s due in theaters on June 28, 2013.
