Even though the first rule of “Fight Club” is not to talk about Fight Club, and the second rule of fight club is don’t talk about fight club, we can’t help but tell the world that we’re showing it tonight at 8/7c. Tune in for your fix of Friday night fights.
In the darkly comic film, Brad Pitt plays Tyler Durden, a charming nut who sells handmade soap. Tyler doesn’t believe in duvets or potpourri, he believes in pain, misfortune, and chaos. When he meets a new friend (Edward Norton) he does what any reasonable man would do: Challenge him to a fight. It’s the start of a beautiful friendship. Durden shows his new acquaintance that bare-knuckle brawling makes him feel more alive than he has in years, and soon the two become friends and roommates, and founding members of a “fight club.” It’s an underground sensation, even though it’s a closely guarded secret among the participants. But as Tyler and his new pal bond through violence, a strange situation becomes even more complicated when both men become involved with Marla (Helena Bonham Carter), a beautiful woman who likes to crash support groups. If you haven’t seen “Fight Club,” correct that egregious error TONIGHT. If you have seen it, well you know you’re going to want to watch it. Especially because it’s a movie so nice we’re showing it twice, so if you miss it at 8, tune in at 11 p.m. ET. Or watch them both, back-to-back, we won’t judge.
