Bunk hosts a bird mitzvah

It’s not everyday that a chicken becomes a man. In fact, it’s a pretty rare event like the seemingly mystical Transit of Venus or Martin Short winning an Oscar or the blooming of a Corpse Flower, but much less stinky. Luckily our new hit comedy game show Bunk was there to film the miraculous moment when a bird went from scratching fledgling to full-grown bird man. Yes, between the laughs provided by host Kurt Braunohler and comedian contestants Ethan T. Berlin, Kumail Nanjiani, and Tom Lennon, during Friday night’s premerie, the Bunk cameras were rolling and captured the exact moment when a bird became a man. Sort of.

Watch the clip and be sure to tune in to Bunk on Fridays at 10:30 p.m. ET for more magical events. And if you missed the premiere episode, be sure to click here for the rerun schedule:

Comedy Bang! Bang! gets in a war of (kind) words

There’s no harm in being kind, right? You should dole out compliments like they are candy on Halloween. Flattery should flow freely like unfiltered tap water, fly like an eagle, run like the wolves and be lobbed like a grenade at the ones you love. Does that last one sound a little weird to you? That’s just because you aren’t keeping up with those comedy trendsetters Scott Aukerman and Reggie Watts. They use their hilarious talk show Comedy Bang! Bang! as a platform to teach the world to sing the praises of each other. And if those kind words will make a bigger impact when they are blasted from a grenade, well, all the better.

Armor up and watch this clip and be sure to tune in to Comedy Bang! Bang! on Friday at 10/9c. And if you missed the premiere episode, you can click here for the rerun schedule.

Comedy Bang! Bang! and Bunk premiere tonight!

Tonight! Tonight! Just like the Smashing Pumpkins and West Side Story and a million children on Christmas Eve say, tonight! tonight! Tonight at 10/9c Comedy Bang! Bang! and Bunk premiere right here on IFC. We couldn’t be more excited to welcome Scott Aukerman, Reggie Watts, Kurt Braunohler and all their many guests and contestants on to our channel.

Comedy Bang! Bang! starts at 10/9c. In case you somehow missed the buzz that’s been building up online and on the streets, Comedy Bang! Bang! is based on Scott Aukerman’s (co-creator/director/producer, Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis; writer/performer, Mr. Show) popular podcast of the same name. The show cleverly riffs on the late night talk show format, infusing celebrity
appearances and comedy sketches with a tinge of the surreal. In each episode, Aukerman chats with his guests (Jon Hamm! Amy Poehler! Michael Cera! Elizabeth Banks! Zach Galifianakis! Seth Rogen!) and banters to the beats provided by bandleader, Reggie Watts, the one-man musical mastermind.

Here’s a brief glimpse into the show:

Follow those 30 hilarious minutes of Comedy Bang! Bang! with the absurd and laugh-out-loud funny game show Bunk. Bunk is a comedy game show where a panel of comedians compete in inane challenges to win surreal prizes. Contestants are armed with nothing but their wits as they respond to images they’ve never seen before, make up songs on the spot, complete drawing and sculpture challenges and interact with modern dancers, puppies, babies, gospel singers and more, all under the watchful eye of host Kurt Braunohler. The fun starts tonight at 10:30 p.m. ET right after Comedy Bang! Bang! See you there!
