Spike’s annual Scream Awards aired last night, and one of the most memorable highlights came courtesy of Gotham City when the “Most Anticipated Movie” statue was given to the cast of “The Dark Knight Rises.”
To a rousing welcome from the crowd, Anne Hathaway sauntered to the mic flanked by co-stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Gary Oldman. Bubbly as ever, she had one question for the ladies: “I want to hear from all the women in this audience,” she yelled. “Who dreamed of being Catwoman? Me too!”
In a short acceptance speech, Hathaway expressed gratitude to fans, thanking them for their “love and support.” Then as a joking aside, she mentioned, “I talked to Christian Bale before these awards and he says ‘Thank you,'” with Hathaway speaking in the trademark deep gravely voice of Batman. “And he’s going to put this ‘next to his Oscar,'” she added.
