Old McDonald may have had a farm, but Rhett & Link have a turkey AND a fake turkey. While you could say that this is just Rhett & Link having fun with no money again, this isn’t “Young, Broke & Beautiful,” but the start of another brilliant local commercial for “Rhett & Link: Commercial Kings.” This isn’t the first time a turkey and/or a fake turkey has starred in a local commercial. In fact, we bet there’s a real turkey on the air in your town be it that guy selling mattresses in his nightshirt or the tire dealer who gives away free beef with the purchase of two white walls. These ware hawkers are the best and worst of late night programming. You know them, you love them, but have you nominated them for a LoCo Award? The LoCo Awards celebrate the best in local commercials. You can submit your favorite local commercials and help them win this great honor.
Simply log in to the LoCo Awards via Facebook Connect and vote for your favorite local commercials and you will be entered to win a cash prize. Nine people will win $250 each and one lucky person will win $250 AND the presidential costume worn in Rhett & Link’s infamous Presidential Car Wash ad.
So watch the clip below to see who the real turkey is and ask yourself can the turkey in my town beat this turkey? If so, enter him into the LoCo Awards:
