Director Kevin Smith has noticed something. It seems he has realized that based on the success of “Jersey Shore,” “Jerseylicious,” and “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” there may be some interest in New Jersey-based reality shows. So Smith is jumping on the bandwagon and making his own. That’s right, Kevin Smith is making a reality television show. Want to hazard a guess on the subject matter? Think “Clerks” also “Mall Rats” and “Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back.” Wait, are we sure Kevin Smith hasn’t been making reality television all along?
According to IGN, Smith’s new show will be based out of The Secret Stash, the comic book store he owns in New Jersey. The series will focus on the employees and comic fans that populate the show. He has already posted a casting call to Facebook “looking for real people who live and breath the comic book lifestyle.”
Smith is developing the project with AMC, who has had success bringing the comics to life in their critically-acclaimed series, “Walking Dead.” But we can’t be alone in hoping the show will end up looking a little bit like this:
