As our celebration of all things Apatow, 12 Days of Judd Apatow, draws to a close, we turn to 2008’s “Forgetting Sarah Marshall.” The script was penned by Apatow regular, Jason Segel, who also played the lead. Like we need to tell you, but Segel starred in Apatow’s series Freaks and Geeks and Undeclared.
The film tells the sad tale of Peter (Segel) getting dumped by the titular Sarah Marshall (Kristen Bell) for Russell Brand. Peter decides to mend his broken heart at his favorite beach resort, unfortunately Sarah is there with her new beau. Luckily Mila Kunis is there to help heal his heart. While in lesser hands that plot could be trite and dull, but under Apatow’s production, Segel’s writing, and excellent comedic acting, the film is a riotous romp addled with quote-worthy quips and many many cringe-worthy moments. Much of the usual Apatow crew is featured in the film — Jonah Hill as a waiter, Paul Rudd as a surfing instructor, Bill Hader as Peter’s stepbrother along with Jack McBrayer from “30 Rock.”

While vampires are all the rage now, we’re pretty it all started with Peter’s ode to Dracula:
As impressive as Peter’s song is, Russell Brand’s rendition of “Inside of You” is …stunning:
