Once again (as I have to clarify every Tuesday), this isn’t a comprehensive list of every album released this week. If so, you’d be scrolling down this website for a good fifteen minutes. These are the albums I would take a peak at if there was a good record store in my neighborhood (which there sadly isn’t). If you know of a good release that I didn’t include, by all means, educate me.
The Raconteurs, Consolers of the Lonely (left)
A week-and-half ago I didn’t know The Raconteurs were releasing a new album–now it’s out. I love surprises!
Though they were a #16-seed in this year’s Inide Ear Madness Tournament (losing out to Stephen Malkmus & The Jicks), they will definitely climb the rankings next year after this album gets around.
Elf Power, In a Cave
Yo, we always represent the Elephant 6 collective here on the Indie Ear.
Pennywise, Reason to Believe
Pennywise doin’ what Pennywise does–that’s a good thing.
Counting Crows, Saturday Nights & Sunday Mornings
If I didn’t post about this new album release, I’d have at least one old college radio buddy telling me, “Hey, you forgot to include the new Counting Crows album.”
The title says it all!
Alaska in Winter, Dance Party in the Balkans
Airy, electronic, indie album, which is now available in the states for the first time.
Panic at the Disco, Pretty. Odd.
Lettin’ you know.
