First off, trailers:
+ An international trailer for "Kings and Queen," the latest film from Arnaud Desplechin, is here (Quicktime). We tried to come up with a concise summary and gave up. Hey look, Catherine Deneuve is in it. Coming out in limited released May 13.
+ A trailer here for "Pure," about a boy trying to save his mother (the great Molly Parker) from her heroin addiction with the help of a local waitress (Keira Knightley). Due for limited release May 27th.
+ AOL has a trailer up here for Robert Rodriguez‘ new film "The Adventures of Shark Boy & Lava Girl in 3-D." This would be the kids movie he shot at least partially at the same time he was doing "Sin City."
More: via Empire, Matt Damon is in talks to play Marco Polo in some epic historical whatever. From the Filmmaker Blog: Richard Linklater will direct a film based on Eric Schlosser’s bestseller "Fast Food Nation," with "Maria Full of Grace"‘s Catalina Sandino Moreno to star. Rediff has stills from "Naina," Bollywood’s take on Hong Kong horror film "The Eye." And via The Age, an Australian distributor has picked up the rights to "Black Sheep," a New Zealand horror-comedy about a genetic experiment gone wrong (but, we ask, do they ever go right?), turning once normal sheep into crazed, um, killer sheep. Seriously, though, Weta is doing the effects, and they have a few stills up here.
